Privacy Policy — H and Co Serial Manager

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how H & Co Agency Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information when merchants install and use the H and Co Serial Manager Shopify application (“the App”). By installing and using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

We do not collect personal data from merchant customers (shoppers). We collect only the information necessary to operate the App:

Shopify Store Data: Store name, store domain, store owner name (for account identification).

Order Data: Order ID / order number (Used to link serial numbers to orders).

Product & Inventory Data: Product IDs, inventory quantities, and serialized inventory data.

Billing & Subscription Data: Shopify billing status and subscription plan details.

Application Logs: API request logs and error logs.

Support Communications: Emails or other inquiries sent to us.

3. What We Do Not Collect

We explicitly do not collect:

  • Customer (Shopper) personal names, addresses, or payment information.
  • Advertising tracking data, pixels, or retargeting events.
  • Browser history.

Note regarding IP Addresses: While we do not track users via IP, our infrastructure providers (Vercel/Supabase) may automatically log IP addresses for security, abuse prevention, and performance monitoring.

4. How We Use Collected Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the App.
  • Synchronize serialized inventory across systems.
  • Process subscription billing via Shopify.
  • Improve reliability and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Respond to merchant support requests.

We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade data.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies only in the app’s embedded admin interface to maintain session security. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party trackers, or retargeting scripts.

6. Data Storage and Security

Data is stored using secure, industry-standard cloud services:

  • Supabase (Database)
  • Vercel (Application Hosting)

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect data from unauthorized access.

7. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or rent data to advertisers, data brokers, or marketing platforms. Data is shared only with the infrastructure providers listed in Section 6 (Supabase, Vercel) strictly for the purpose of hosting, database management, and app functionality.

8. Data Retention

We retain data only as long as necessary to provide the App and maintain accurate inventory records.

Upon Uninstallation: When a merchant uninstalls the App, we comply with Shopify's mandatory data retention webhooks. Store-specific data is generally deleted within 48 hours to 30 days of uninstallation, unless retention is required by law.

9. Data Deletion and Merchant Rights

Merchants may request data deletion, access, or export by emailing support@getserialmanager.com. We fulfill verified requests within 30 days.

10. International Data Transfer

Data may be processed and stored in the United States or other jurisdictions where our infrastructure providers (Supabase, Vercel) operate. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.

11. Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for business use only. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under 18.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revised version will always be posted at this location with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App indicates acceptance.

Compliance Statements

GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)
We act as a Data Processor. We do not process the personal data of your customers (shoppers). We process Merchant personal data (Store Owner Name, Email) strictly for the performance of the contract (providing the App). Merchants have the right to request access to or deletion of their account data.

CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act)
H & Co Serial Manager does not "sell" personal information as defined by the CCPA. We do not process consumer (shopper) personal information.
